Functional Role: Web Developer
Job Description
TCG, The Creative Group, is in need of a strong Front End Developer to work for our big brand Seattle client. In order to be qualified for this role, you will have mastered creating cross-browser solutions that separate structure, presentation and behavior using semantic XHTML\HTML5 markup, CSS 2\3 and modern unobtrusive, object oriented JavaScript and have the proof to back it up. You should have strong knowledge of DOM scripting and event handling with experience using one or more JavaScript frameworks (jQuery, Prototype, Dojo, YUI - we use jQuery), including expert-level skills at Ajax implementation.
Some specific projects you'll be working on:
Internationalization of company's eCommerce site (this project really entails the following)
o Refactoring code to support Internationalization including massive rearchitecting to applications like store locator, card, and account sections of our site.
o Custom jquery plugin\widget development
o Richer integration with social media in our web apps (facebook, twitter)
o Overall custom javascript development (continuing to build out FE framework).
o Continuing to move company's code forward with HTML5 and CSS3
Job Requirements
HTML5 and XHTML
Experience with HTML5 Markup and best practices
Must have a solid understanding of progressive enhancement
Full mastery of XHTML Strict
CSS
Ability to hand-code CSS 2 and 3.
Mastery of cross-browser development, testing, and debugging.
Ability to progressively enhance styles using CSS for specific browser support
JavaScript
Ability to create complex web applications using javascript\jquery.
Mastery of Ajax
Ability to code OOP JavaScript and understand design patterns.
Understand native javascript, its good\bad parts, and understanding of how to use a lint tool.
Bonus
Understanding of Google Analytics (goals, funnels, events etc)
Experience with .NET MVC, Visual Studio, TFS
