Primary
Responsibilities:
* Leads team to manage all aspects of Quality at a plant level. * Provides leadership, coaching, development, and engagement to the Quality team. * Contributes as a member of the plant functional leadership team and is the designated main point of contact for World Headquarters Corporate. * Will provide input to the Operating & Strategic Plans and aligns resources to deliver results and Quality strategy while managing day to day support requirements. * Directs and monitors the following Quality Improvement Programs: HACCP, raw material and finished goods testing programs, equipment and facility sanitation, Quality and Food Safety programs, Customer/Supplier requests, and specification compliance. * Responsible for ensuring that all facility procedures and standards are being met for raw materials, in process, and finished good specifications. * Develops and analyzes statistical data and specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability expectancy of finished products. * Responsible for developing and training Quality Assurance (QA) Department colleagues. * Develops, implements, manages, and monitors an integrated program to assure that quality, safety and regulatory compliance standards are met. * Leads investigations and troubleshooting of product concerns. Implements corrective action and documents findings and prepares monthly incident reports. * Reviews issues specific to quality management projects and objectives. * Supports the Director of Technical Services in various department initiatives as needed. Assists with timely completion of projects and ensure compliance with established segments of quality management and sanitation. Prepares for and handles related follow up to food safety audits and other related audits. * Interacts with the USDA inspector on related quality management issues. * Performs plan tours to identify violations of GMPs, HACCP regulations, and related contract or company policy violations. * Utilizes various spreadsheet applications to monitor and achieve efficient quality management and sanitation operations through analysis of plant updates, operation reports, project and staff scheduling. * Reviews product not meeting required specifications that has been placed on hold and determines how product should be handled, including inedible and damaged goods. * Reviews raw and finished product to verify compliance to customer and USDA standards that include but are not limited to product weights, temperatures, size, code dates, expiration dates, product packaging, etc.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree required. * Minimum 5-7 years supervisory experience within a QA environment, specifically food manufacturing. * Must understand manufacturing processes that include but are not limited to cooking processes, production line rates, and equipment operation. * Must be highly knowledgeable in Statistical Process Control (SPC) procedures, food safety regulatory compliance, USDA, FDA, HACCP, GMPs. * Strong proficiency with MS Office required. * Ability to research and analyze various different types of data information. * Must have excellent project management and time management skills * Must be self-driven and results oriented coupled with a strong analytical and problem solving skill set. * Exceptionally strong communication skills, both oral and written, ability to communicate concepts at all levels of the organization.
