Time Warner Cable currently seeks a Sales Manager for our Commercial Sales Department.  Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.



The prefered location for this position is Corpus Christi; however, the position may also be located in Beaumont, TX.



Position Summary

The purpose of this position is to manage, supervise and direct the sales programs and activities of the sales staff involved in selling High Speed Data, Fiber Data, Business Class Phone and Cable Television services. Has extensive contact with office and field personnel, marketing staff and general public. This position has full supervisory responsibilities and reports to the Commercial Director of Sales for the Region.



Essential Job Functions

1. Supervise Commercial Account Executives in all phases of their jobs, including hiring, training evaluations, and terminations. Monitor the commercial Account Executives in all areas of their daily assignments.

2  Establish realistic sales goals and monitor the sales team in both maintenance and acquisition of accounts.

3. Oversee daily activities, including: Recruit, train, motivate, and develop a team of Account Executives into a productive, cohesive unit to increase productivity and exceed minimum quotas.

4. Conduct regular sales staff meetings.

5. Daily: Attend sales calls with sales reps.

6. Provide weekly sales summaries and reports.

7. Assign high priority customers and/or develop business with significant long-term potential.

8. Perform special projects and act upon long-term business building opportunities as assigned.

9. Travel as required.

10. Comply with all established policies and procedures of Time Warner Cable.

11. Perform other duties as assigned.



Job Requirements

1. Use of computer and telephone.

2. Must have good, persuasive verbal and written communication skills.

3. Knowledge of sales, supervision, evaluation methods and office procedures.

4. Working knowledge of data and cable industry.

5. Excellent analytical knowledge.

6. Ability to supervise personnel and manage office procedures.

7. Ability to organize, implement and maintain sales goals.



Education & Experience

This position requires a high school diploma or recognized equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. Three to five years in cable sales, data, telecom or related selling experience is required. Prior management experience in Cable services and Broadband Internet service is a definite plus. A minimum of two years sales management experience required.
