Job Description

Summary:

This position will be responsible for software
support (specifically interfaces), quality assurance, testing, systems analysis
and systems documentation within multiple environments.

Duties
and Responsibilities:

• Work in a
  distributed environment implementing interfaces between legacy hospital
  systems, physician practice management systems and physician practice
  medical records systems. The environment includes: HMS Hospital clinical
  systems, McKesson Hospital clinical systems, Keane
  Hospital clinical systems, Meditech Hospital clinical systems, Allscripts
  Enterprise EHR and Athena collector practice management systems.

• Coordinate
  systems analysis, systems development and implementation activities to
  ensure customer requirements are met.


• Organize
  and prepare program and system documentation according to established
  procedures.

• Ensure
  all changes are documented to ensure efficiency.


• Follow
  established CHS procedures and guidelines.


• Communicate
  all problems to the appropriate management in a timely manner.


• Maintain
  good communications with business partners and team members.


• Monitor
  all situations and ensure timely and effective communication of results.

Experience:

• A minimum of five
  years experience in large application systems environments.


• Prior
  supervisory experience is required.


• Healthcare
  systems experience preferred.


• Additional
  computer programming and/or system implementation experience, with
  demonstrated analytical skills.


• Should be
  comfortable presenting information to large groups as well as senior
  leadership.

Education:

• Bachelors degree
  (or higher) or equivalent experience in a science (computer science, MIS,
  Healthcare related field etc.) or business concentration, with an emphasis
  in computer information systems and/or specialized knowledge of the
  healthcare industry.

Job Requirements

Qualifications: 

•      
A
minimum of three years hands-on experience in healthcare HL7 messaging.

•      
Experience
working with an interface engine such as Cloverleaf, Connect-R, rhapsody, or
Mirth. 

• Quality
  assurance process knowledge.

• Excellent
  written and oral skills essential.


• Must be
  able to perform multiple tasks and effectively prioritize work.


• Able to
  handle a fast paced environment and react positively under pressure and
  stress situations and appropriately escalate issues.

• Must be
  able to maintain the strictest of confidentiality.

Education/Experience:

• Batchelors
  degree in IS or related field.
