The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for carrying out procedures to ensure that all information systems products meet the specified business and technical requirements. He or she will assist in planning the test strategy and is responsible for developing and executing automated tests to ensure proper operation and conformance to specifications. The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst will also assist the development teams in systems design, will document and work to resolve basic problems, will report progress on problem resolution to management and will perform formal, technical risk assessments.

Development of automated test scripts
Facilitation and execution of system and integration testing.
Participate in System Design
Documentation of test results and issue tracking
Perform Risk Assessments in cooperation with the QA Center of Excellence, actively communicating risks to management
Work with Project Managers in the planning, coordination and execution of User Acceptance Testing
Assist the Quality Assurance Center of Excellence in establishing and implementing departmental policies and procedures

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree- BS/BA in Computer Science, MIS or related industry experience
Experience:
5-7 years- must have worked in quality assurance capacity
Retail experience is a plus
CSQA/CSQTE, ISTQB and other certifications a plus.
Test automation tools and/or software
Mercury Quick Test Professional
SQL and relational database concepts
OS/400 operating system a plus
Creating and implementing manual test scripts
Project test strategies

Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with all levels of management, business partners and application developers.
Must possess strong time-management, analytical, problem-solving and presentation skills.
Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.
Must possess the ability to grasp new concepts quickly.
Understanding of quality assurance as it relates to software development life cycles.
Ability to work at a detailed level while maintaining an overall project perspective.
Ability to interact effectively with IT and business individuals/teams at all organizational levels.
Ability to effectively communicate to management issues, alternatives, and recommendations.
Ability to act as a subject matter expert on specific business systems.
Ability to understand integration of all business systems.
Ability to assess risk associated with project and system issues and to effectively communicate those risks both formally and informally.
Ability to assist development teams with systems design.
