Our client, a large financial institution, located in downtown Manhattan, is seeking a Senior Risk Project Manager to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity to be a part of a team that works on multiple projects for exposure. This person will be working on a project where the team will be re-engineering risk/ VAR applications for mortgage-backed securities. In addition, they are looking for ways to hedge interest rate exposure related to overnight funding costs for executed transactions. This role is for a strong Project Manager who has familiarity with driving projects within either an SDLC or systems implementation lifecycle. This person must have strong working knowledge on VAR (value at risk) projects and the domain experience within market or credit risk. The ideal candidate will have experience with VAR, Greeks, back-testing and stress-testing. PMI and CFA certifications are a plus. This person should have strong knowledge of Access and Excel. This a long term contract opportunity with the possibility for full time conversion. Candidates should be able to interview with 48 hours notice and start as soon as possible.

Job Requirements

• Strong project management experience in driving projects from inception to deployment, Strong domain knowledge within Credit and Market Risk, Strong experience with Clarity, Excel, and Access, Knowledge of VAR (value at risk) and the Greeks is a plus
