They are a media investment management company with offices across the globe. Their client base is a vast mix of multinational and local businesses, and holding an expansive representation across multiple product and service types.
Digital Media Planner role: Prepare interactive media plans, schedules, cost estimates and contracts Reserving media space and issuing insertion orders, cancellations and change requests Developing and adhering to budgets Coordinate between ad-serving departments, creative, off line, and account Negotiating and purchasing Internet media utilizing various pricing models Reviews sites Maintaining media reference files and contracting media representatives Assisting in client presentations and new business pitches Targeting new media trends and tactics to create innovative media programs Managing day to day plan changes/maintenance of media plans Working directly with assistant media planner in creating, updating, and presenting media plans Responding to competitive requests Researching and compiling competitive data Develop and apply a working knowledge of basic media concepts, terminology, media math and media plan execution (e.g., reach, frequency, universe, rating, CPM) Responsible for analysis, planning, placement and related reports
Job Responsibilities Continued:
Assemble and evaluate marketing data to determine the clients advertising and media needs Analyze media alternatives to recommend how to best allocate the advertising budget Maintain regular contact with junior level clients and account management Train assistant media planner(s) Keeping up with Market place opportunities Evaluate and propose targeting, geography, scheduling, support level, and budget Work with other teams to solve media problems (e.g. buyers understand planners and vice versa, execution of integrated/added value programs, billing discrepancies, traffic problems, contract loading, pre-emption, make-goods) Write POVs Job Requirements: Bachelors degree, preferably with a concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration, and communications 2-4 years of media planning experience (Digital/Interactive environment) Knowledge of research tools (DoubleClick Dart, Atlas) and accounting tools Familiar with Internet technologies, Internet business models and online media trends Strong quantitative and analytical skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Detail oriented with exceptional critical thinking and problem solving abilities Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Ability to multi-task, work successfully with teams, and work under pressure Excellent Time management skills Ability to take direction and guidance Ability to effectively follow through on tasks and on time We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
