Job Description
The successful candidate will report directly to the Tax Counsel/ Director of Tax Research and Planning.

The responsibilities of the position include all aspects of tax planning, as well as advising and assisting as necessary and required, with tax return disclosures and associated tax compliance. This position includes tax planning designed to optimize the company?s tax position by reducing global tax expense, effective tax rate and cash taxes paid. This position will assist in maintaining the substance of the global business, legal and tax structure of the company (which may include interfacing with Legal to organize corporate board meetings, draft board minutes, etc.). This position will advise and assist with the tax-efficient movement of cash within the company, in conjunction with Treasury. The candidate will assist in overseeing the company?s transfer pricing, as well as become involved in mergers and acquisitions and other internal corporate restructurings. In addition, this position will actively assist with domestic and international tax audits.

The ideal candidate will have a JD from an accredited law school. Alternatively, the candidate could possess either a CPA or a MS/MBA in taxation from an accredited business school with the requisite research and planning background. The candidate should have at least 6 years of tax planning experience in U.S. and international tax matters. Experience in private industry is a major plus. The candidate should possess leadership capabilities, excellent interpersonal and client services skills, as well as have the ability to work closely with senior management. In addition, the candidate should have demonstrated research, writing and communication skills, including identifying issues that affect tax and business operations. Experience with FAS 09 and/or FIN 48 would be a strong plus. The candidate will also need to be able to work efficiently and effectively, as well as multi task and work on various assignments simultaneously. Further, the successful candidate will need to work autonomously and as an effective member of a team and demonstrate a work ethic capable of disciplined self motivation and commitment to the highest standards of professional integrity, maturity and judgment.
