The Supplier Quality Engineer will develop, conduct and coordinate supplier quality activities; vendor qualifications, first article inspection, inspection criteria, incoming MRB, corrective actions and supplier auditing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conduct vendor qualification activities
• Compile supplier product specification packages
• Develop first article inspection and incoming inspection criteria
• Conduct incoming MRB and reject activities
• Coordinate and review corrective action activities
• Ability to travel (25% of position)
Salary range of $50,000-$65,000
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or equivalent experience in supplier quality function
• Working knowledge of ISO/QS 9000 quality systems, product qualification testing, inspection tools and equipment, and supplier quality activities.
• Supplier Quality Program experience
• Cross functional team environment and Global Supply Base experience
• Knowledge of materials, finishes, and specifications (ASTM, AWS, etc.)
• Metallurgical background, ASQ Certified quality Engineer or Auditor preferred
Salary range of $50,000-$65,000
