Kelly Services is seeking candidates for multiple opportunities working as a Small Business Sales Representative within one of the major financial institutions in the Twin Cities. This position would be part of the Small Business Sales group located in Downtown Minneapolis. This full time contract hire position pays $14 hourly with potential for commission after contracting for six months.
The primary function of the position is to make outbound sales calls discussing and assessing a wide range of personal financial needs and recommending and selling products or services that meet or exceed the customer’s needs. Products include but are not limited to business and consumer deposit and credit products. It is expected that you develop customer profiles for other products such as trust, investments, etc. and send profiles to appropriate product line support for follow-up sales calls. You will interface with other sales staff and ensure referrals are responded to in a timely manner and may take inbound sales call to support peak periods.
Key responsibilities for these Phone Banker / CSR opportunities include:
- Sell a full range of products and services offered by the organization.
- Make sales calls, proactively probing to determine the customer’s (prospect’s) needs, identifying sales opportunities and obtaining information about the customer.
- Explain features and benefits of products and services for purposes of creating new sales opportunities.
- Initiate follow-up calls to ensure customer satisfaction and to cross-sell additional products.
- Use an in house computer system to gather and log customer and sales information.
- Analyze various reports for the purpose of identification of cross-sell opportunities.
- Accept calls for other products, i.e., trust, investments, etc., provides basic product information
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of direct sales experience or 3 years of other customer service. Great customer service interaction would include positions as a server, any commissioned retail jobs held, and phone customer service with up-selling expectations.
- A college degree is desired but experience within the financial industry will be equally valued
- Intermediate computer skills, including the ability to use excel for tracking, accurate typing, and aptitude to pick up on new systems and convey usage to customers
**This role is a great place to start in becoming knowledgeable about the various products and services that the bank offers while becoming comfortable discussing them with business clients. This is not a call center setting! This is a team made up of both inbound and outbound members that provide informed and professional information and advice to small business owners regarding their banking products and services.**
