CBS Radio Detroit is in search of a motivated, experienced, selling Local Sales Manager to lead the WWJ-AM sales team in an extremely focused local sales effort. The Local Sales Manager will be involved but not limited to developing account plans and strategies, cultivating, influencing, and maintaining relationships with clients and delivering product presentations. Sales training, motivation, hiring and managing experience preferred.

The ideal candidate has excellent leadership, negotiating and communication skills. Understanding of broadcasting, pricing inventory, ratings, marketing, promotion and collection standard. Ability to handle stress, deadlines and related financial pressures. Extensive knowledge of sales principles and practices and a strong desire to sell in the field. An understanding of digital media and NTR programs and events a plus. Three to five years previous sales management experience preferred.
