Job Description
The Web Designer translates creative briefs into design concepts within brand standards that motivate customers (members and non-members) to act in a specific fashion.  The person in this role keeps abreast of technology developments and best practices with regard to e-commerce and next-action environments, and uses that knowledge to convert visitors to customers.  The person in this role also participates in duties the page design and digital elements for A/B and multivariate testing to ensure maximum optimization.

Job Requirements
Education beyond a Bachelor's degree or through equivalent work experience, plus 4-6 years of related work experience.  Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; excellent visual and web design skills; time management skills; project management (timelines, resources, budget); leadership skills; 3-4 years of actual digital design and layout experience  in an agency or in-house e-commerce environment; fundamental understanding of marketing and branding; ability to explain visual concepts and design storyboards and demonstrate how concept delivers on online goals; ability to work with copywriters, print designers, account managers, digital optimization strategist and UX designers.  Strong understanding of web standards, HTML, and CSS, including HTML5 and CSS3, with some ability to hand code.  Formal design training; or art education in design preferred.  Portfolio demonstrating interactive design, best practices, interactive media and banners needed.
