Job Description

The Sourcing Specialist will drive the supplier and part selection process for the Global Mission Support team by initiating requests for quotation and/or proposal and analyzing pricing from potential suppliers.  Then, the individual will deploy material strategy, including issuing/managing purchase orders and subcontracts, to develop strategic and key suppliers in both product and services procurement.  

Additionaly, the individual will

• Work with Program Management, Finance, and Capture organizations to ensure specifications and Statements of Work are appropriate for the tasks or products required

• Perform price/cost analysis reports in accordance with Federal Acquisition Requirement (FAR) and company policies
• Evaluats and monitor supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedules
• Examin supplier proposals and participates in proposal and negotiation process
• Ensure appropriate documentation to logistics organization to ensure proper receipt
• Review and approve supplier payment as needed
• Utilize process tools such as SAP and MRP
• Identifie opportunities and strategies to reduce risk and cost, including developing material cost reduction plans

Job Requirements

Required Skills

• 2-4 years of product procurement experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
• 3-5 years of US Government Procurement Experience, specifically FAR 15 Contracting under TINA
• International Sourcing Experience and familiarity with Import/Export/ITAR Licensing Requirements
• Strong understanding of the principles of procurement and contract administration
• Experience negotiating Long Term Agreements
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written
• Strong Team Building skills, Self Starter and Team Oriented
• Analytical and financial analysis skills
• Strong computer skills including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Project Management experience

Required Education

• BS Degree or equivalent related experience in Supply Chain Management
