Job Responsibilities

• Teaching direct and indirect staff and patients related to nursing specialty
• Orientation of new hospital RNs
• Oversees program development process for training and development interventions, and organizational change interventions.
• The Clinical Nurse Educator of Surgery has operational responsibility and accountability for meeting educational needs by incorporating advanced clinical practice, education, consultation, research and professional/leadership activities.

Job Requirements

• Licensure: Current Registered Professional Nurse in Illinois
• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Competence: Three to five years of related experience and/or training in Surgery, Pre-Op, PACU, or related field
• Teaching experience required.
