Job Description
The leading provider of comprehensive water and wastewater services to municipal and industrial customers HPD, LLC, a Division of Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies (VWS) is currently seeking a Project Manager to work in our Plainfield, IL office. 
 
HPD is a global leader in innovative process solutions that uses evaporation and crystallization as core technologies. HPD has designed and delivered more than 650 systems in 30 countries, including the world's largest MVR evaporated salt crystallizer, the largest multiple-effect evaporated salt crystallizer and the largest kraft pulp black liquor evaporation system. With offices in Plainfield, IL and Bilbao, Spain, HPD offers custom-engineered solutions to the Chemical Processing, Pulp and Paper, Power Generation, Salt, Fertilizer, Chlor-Alkali and Specialty Chemical industries.
 
Candidates with a minimum of 10 years experience in the design, build of industrial chemical process systems are preferred.  The incumbent will have responsibility for the project execution of industrial design, build chemical process systems.  Typical project sizes range from $1 Million to $10 Million US dollars.  Projects may be domestic or international. Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating the project team which will include overseeing and directing Project Engineers, Designers and Drafters in activities such as process design, cost control, scheduling, quality assurance, safety, equipment procurement, equipment design, field construction activities, commissioning and customer/client communications.
 
Duties for this position include (but are not limited to):  budget and schedule control, finalizing equipment process calculations, developing design drawings and procurement specifications, reviewing vendor quotations and issuing procurement recommendations, inspecting fabrication/construction sites, coordinating the project teams activities from the project inception through its successful startup and being the prime contact for our customer as well as major suppliers.

Job Requirements
Candidates with the ability to do process calculations such as calculating pumping head, reviewing equipment drawings, reviewing P&ID's, determining heat transfer coefficients, and checking material and energy balances are preferred.  Knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Project is desired as are high organizational and communication skills, the ability to trouble shoot and resolve conflicts and a willingness to travel.  Knowledge of ASME codes and good engineering practices for various pieces of equipment, such as boilers, compressors, centrifuges, centrifugal pumps, control valves, instrumentation and piping is desired.
 
A degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
