Position Title: Sales Engineer - Tooling *** 3 NEEDED ***
Locations: 1 in the Long Island New York and New Jersey area
1 in the Huntsville, AL and Charlotte, NC area
1 in the Chicago, IL area

Compensation: Salary and commission/bonus package $100K++

SUMMARY:
Our Client is one of the leading suppliers of high performance machine tools, tooling, accessories, and related engineering and support services to manufacturers of precision machined parts. They are one of the largest machine tool distribution networks in North America.
This company has hired Hallmark to find three experienced Sales Engineers, ideally with a tooling background, for their primary market areas of Long Island NY/New Jersey, Chicago IL, and Huntsville AL/Charlotte NC areas.
These are staff positions with strong upward career potential. As part of these positions, you will receive an ipad, car allowance, phone, computer, technical equipment, and all of the support you will need to be successful.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for maintaining and growing an account base (designated to a specific geographical area), finding new prospects and generating new business.
- Interface with the Product Manager’s, Division Application Engineering and Productivity Engineers to provide a clear understanding of products being quoted.
- Represent with a high degree of integrity and professionalism that gains customer trust
- Organize and execute a strategic approach to developing their territory account base
- Identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process.
- Promote of the company, its technical capabilities and its product range to existing and potential customers
- Responsible for pursuing leads, qualifying prospects, and managing all aspects of the sales process for both new and existing customers.
- Responsible for generating leads through cold calls, referrals and territory-specific marketing efforts
- Responsible for development and delivery of product demonstrations
- Maintain an accurate customer database
- Increase the level of industry visibility through regular visits/contact to clients and prospects
- Participate in meetings, seminars, and training sessions to stay apprised of new developments in field.
- Act on and resolve customer issues promptly and professionally.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- A two-year degree in engineering with five plus years of applicable experience is required. A BS in engineering is a plus.
- Have a proven track record in capital equipment related sales
- The position requires a broad knowledge of the machine tool industry as well as its applications and technical requirements.
- Have an extensive knowledge of industry specific machine tools and applications
- Be organized and analytical and able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive
- approaches
- Proven experience and ability to effectively present products and information to customers in a one-on-one or group setting
- Possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, requests for quotes and when submitting reports
- Exhibit excellent team work skills
