Manage investigative analysts and assigned investigations, utilize data analytics and visualization tools for test security purposes, and provide Test Security advice as needed.
Typical work-related activities include: - Plan and manage Test Security investigations, including computer-based testing investigations and internet searches; document evidence and identify aberrant trends.
- Use data analytics, visualization and reporting tools to identify and explain aberrant data.
- Determine the need for forensic expert review and communicate directly with experts concerning the forensic review.
- Draft risk assessments, investigation plans, reports, and recommendations for ACT programs.
- Identify additional means, including cybersecurity tools, to deter or detect test security breaches; recommend changes to existing policies, procedures, audit capabilities, and investigation tools.
- Identify possible process improvement opportunities; lead or participate on project teams to research and analyze process improvement solutions, and to implement process improvements according to area priorities and within scheduled timelines and budgets.
- Act as a subject matter expert in the use of analytical software, including software for data mapping and case management.
- Independently identify and analyze concerning trends, unusual case facts, program risks, and threats for further research and analysis; determine how to respond.
- As a member of an investigative team, assist with developing investigative plans, compiling evidence, conducting interviews, analyzing data and collaboratively manage investigations.
- Assist in the hiring and training of investigative analysts and investigative assistants.
- Schedule, assign, and monitor the work schedules of assigned investigations and projects.
- Assist in developing and monitoring Test Security’s strategic plans and budget.
- Maintain and regularly report key metrics to assist Test Security in efficiently and effectively investigating and resolving test security breaches and in managing workflow.
- Maintain quality and security control on all assigned projects and investigations.
- Ensure compliance with legal standards, contractual representations, and ACT policies.
- Coordinate with other areas and report regularly to management concerning projects and investigations.
- Communicate effectively and efficiently verbally and in writing with ACT staff, examinees, clients, and third parties.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding corporate information.
MinimumJob Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred) in mathematics, computer science, law, statistics, or related field with at least 4 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated competence in collecting and analyzing data to identify unusual patterns or trends. Understanding of cybersecurity tools, Internet search tools, and investigative techniques. Computer proficiency, including spreadsheet, word processing, database, and project management software. Strong quantitative skills and familiarity with statistics. Ability to manage multiple projects, and collaboratively manage and organize work and personnel.
