Job Description
Hyundai Translead is a leading manufacturer of dry and refrigerated van trailers, domestic containers, container chassis and converter dollies for the North American transportation industry. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Administer or oversee the following:
General contracts, third party agreements, vendor/supplier relationships
Coordination and management of external legal partners with general litigation
Employment agreements
Trademarks, patents, intellectual property and trade secrets
Preparation of business legal reports and correspondence
Employee relations, including but not limited to the following:
Provide HR counseling to all managers and employees regarding all aspects of personnel and employment law inquiries
Perform corrective and disciplinary action
Attend unemployment hearings; prepare summary reports of employee relations issues
Coordination of the annual performance review program
Collaborate with the Affirmative Action Officer to advise management and business partners on adverse actions; conduct adverse impact analysis; investigate EEOC concerns; make recommendations and implement solutions based on the issues and investigation results.
Develop and implement or present training on HR related subjects (employment law, management best practices, effective communication, annual code of conduct review, etc.)
Update and maintain the employee handbook, as well as internal HR related practices and procedures, based on annual review of HR case law
Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and orientation of new employees
Assist in the coordination of employee reward and recognition programs

Job Requirements
- Law degree from an accredited college or university
- Direct experience with HR pre-employment processes, Federal, state and local employment laws
- Minimum of 3-5 years of human resource management experience preferred
- PHR certification is not required, but is preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Outstanding project management and presentation skills
- Ability to travel to our manufacturing plant in Tijuana, Mexico as needed
Technical Skills:
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency in ADP HR & Benefits system a plus
