Technicians will troubleshoot problems, repair failures of production equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. Maintenance technicians will be assigned equipment sets to improve utilization and report weekly on equipment status and improvements that are being carried out. Technicians to carry out root cause analysis with the area teams with the ability to report on findings and implementing necessary modifications. All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the company. Primary responsibilities for this position include: Troubleshoot to determine robot malfunctions, using knowledge of programmable controllers, electronics, circuit analysis, mechanics, hydraulics and pneumatics. Support production in maintaining and improving equipment sets. Works with engineering in a team environment for process and equipment improvement. Identify, research, prepare and present solutions to problems Cause and Effect, Root Cause Analysis . Performs predictive and preventative maintenance on any or all production equipment. Assures equipment is always in as new condition first fix effectiveness . Analyze equipment and OEE data for trends, variation, activities for productivity and yield enhancement improvement. Program robot for series of manipulator arm-hand moves movements manually or by electronic instructions to a microprocessor or by setting up and adjusting sequence by hand-held teach pendant. Troubleshoot, repair, problem-solve, and maintain electrical control problems for all manufacturing equipment. Disassemble robots and/or peripheral equipment to repair or replace defective circuit boards, sensors, controllers, encoders, servomotors, servo valves, or automatic lubrication systems. Maintenance Technicians at this level may be asked to act as a Qualified Peer Trainer. Position Requirements This position is ideal for a candidate who is enthusiastic about being a green colar worker in the solar photovoltaic PV industry. Successful candidate should demonstrate a desire for personal development, communicate easily, enjoy working in a team environment and be highly flexible. The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience: Minimum education of an Associate degree in electrical, robotics, automation, electronic engineering or similar technical discipline required. Must possess a minimum of 2-4 years (level 2) or 5+ years (level 3) in high-volume manufacturing, with a preference for experience in automation. A working knowledge and experience in Robotics REIS, FANUC , hydraulics, vacuum, PLC s SIEMENS, BECKOFF, Allen Bradley and RJ31B Controller highly desired. Must have strong diagnostics and troubleshooting skills and be strong in analytical skills. Must be able to read schematics: Electrical and Fluid air diagrams. Good understanding of process control: Thermal monitoring and control, SPC background, and root cause analysis. Must demonstrate ability to conduct data collection and measurement activities utilizing standard and metric systems. Must possess excellent communications skills written and verbal as you will be working in a team environment that is very data-driven. Basic computer skills are required including familiarity with windows-based programs such as Microsoft productivity tools 9 e.g., Excel, Word . A basic working knowledge of manufacturing or ERP systems and data entry and/or collection from such systems in required. Familiarization and experience with SPC Statistical Process Control is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of equipment and manufacturing safety procedures is required e.g., lock-out / tag-out, electrical / high-voltage, reading MSDS, incident response procedures . Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs
